This is the direct replacement for the popular Canon TM-240 A1 printer, bringing Canon's proven all-round large format performance into its latest generation of imagePROGRAF machines.
 
 
Like the TM-240 before it, the Canon TM-500 is designed to handle a wide range of applications, from CAD drawings, plans and technical documents through to posters, presentations, signage and graphics.
 
 
Rather than being aimed at particularly high-volume production, the TM-500 is a compact, affordable A1 printer that's extremely capable across a wide range of everyday applications, making it a great choice for architects, engineers, schools, offices, retailers and businesses that need professional large format printing without particularly high print volumes.
 
 
The latest TM-500 also brings some useful improvements over the previous generation. Automatic media detection can identify the media type, width and remaining roll length, while Canon's newly developed Matte Black ink produces deeper blacks, sharper lines and clearer detail, particularly useful for CAD and technical drawings.
 
 
Poster and graphic output has also been improved, with richer colours and darker tones helping graphics, text and presentation work stand out. Borderless printing is supported on a wide range of sizes too, allowing posters and graphics to be produced with a clean edge-to-edge finish without additional trimming.
 
 
The redesigned flat-top body and front-facing controls also make the TM-500 easier to position and operate in smaller offices and working environments.
